Summer sneakers

All pictures from

During summer you can dig all your white and light colored sneakers from the back of the closet and hopefully use them without getting awfully dirty. This spring girl’s sneakers have been in nice bright colors and pastels, and the ones I drool after are the Nike Air Max Plus SE in the lovely lilac color. The Air Max Prestos are clean and fresh, and in my  opinion Nike’s answer to Adidas Turbular model. New Balance is not that popular in Finland but you can spot them on loads of fashion influencers feet, for example Danish fashion editors. Aaand as I mentioned in my last sneaker post, we are going to see a lot of “flyknit” sneakers, Adidas has updated the classic Gazelle model to a flyknit model, but also other classic models such as the Superstar and Stan Smith have gotten a face lift. Which are your favorites?

New in – Vans Old Skool

What’s better than a pair of new shoes on a Friday?!  I wanted a pair of classic sneakers that are more subtle because my Janoski’s needs to breathe. Love ’em!

Sneakers on my mind

My boyfriend is tired of me obsessing endlessly over sneakers. I can’t help it, I really love cool sneakers! During the past years we have seen Nike’s Roshe, Air Max 90 and 95, Air Force and Air Max Thea in endless colors, but I hope that soon people will move away from the models and discover some new. The Adidas NMD launch was pretty hyped and the limited edition of the yellow colorway sold out in minutes.

I really like that for example Adidas has reinvented some classic models such as the Gazelle or Nikes Air Icarus or Cortez, and are now available in new and exciting materials and colorways. Puma emerged from the dark after a face lift last year, and in collaboration with Rihanna the popularity has exploded. I mean, who didn’t drool after a pair or RiRi’s creepers?!

The immediate trend that can be seen on the sneaker scene is the “flyknit” or “knit” fabrics, seen both at Nike and Adidas, but also several smaller brands.

And then there’s the high end sneakers.. Stella McCartney, Chloé, Eytys and Calvin Klein.. Keep on dreamin’ right?

Hi you! February is going to be one of the busiest months, as I have to work with my thesis and other various reports. I finally have woken up from my January-coma and I think that the sun has done its part also. I have finally found my inspiration again and some energy to push forward on my school work! Unfortunately I don’t have anyone to take pictures of my outfits at this moment, but I will start posting some recipes during this week. Meanwhile follow my instagram account @breakfastbrunchdinner for food pictures.

Stockholm shopping

So, there was still some sales in Stockholm and I actually made a deal with myself that I have to buy everything on sale if possible. I have soo much clothes, so I can’t fit anything unecessary in my closet, so I focused on basics.

From &Other Stories I bought a nice black blouse with dots on, think it paired with a pair of waxed- or leatherpants and boots + a hat. I’ve been looking for a similar for a while, and it was -50% so why not. I also bought a basic grey oversized sweater thay goes with basically anything. I also bought a supernice body mist, Morrocan Tea, that I of course forgot on the boat. 😦

As I’ve mentioned before many many times, I never find jeans. So, I’ve now discovered that Bik Bok sell jeans that fit me! These two are super stretchy and fits my figure well. The quality is not that great, but two pairs of jeans for 60€ is not a bad price. I have a pair with zips already from Zara, but they are beginning to fall to pieces. The other pair is waxed and high-waisted.

Last but not least, a pair of Janoski’s! I’ve been pending between a pair of Janoski’s or Adidas Gazelle for a while, and these were on -50% in Caliroots. These are perfect for spring, love the black leather!

I’m really happy with my purchases, nothing unecessary and classical pieces.

On Monday, we left Tallinn for Helsinki, and Helsinki for Stockholm. We got these crazy cheap cruise tickets to Stockholm, so together with our neighbours we spent a day in Stockholm.
It was awfully stormy on the first night on the boat, so after a painful awakening we took the metro to Östermalmstorg, and ate breakfast in a small café called Borgs Brödbod in Östermalms foodmarket. They have nice salads aswell!

After that, shopping of course! As we were quite tired, we didn’t have that much energy for shopping, but we did cover the stores that can’t be found in either Tallinn or Helsinki, e.g. Urban Outfitters, &Other Stories, Caliroots, Topshop, Footlocker etc.

I will show you what I bought on sale when I get home, we still have a 2 hour ferry ride back to Tallinn ahead of us. Ugh, can’t wait to get home! You know when you’ve been onboard on a rocking boat (6m waves..) so it feels still like everything is rocking when walking! Ugh!
