Summer sneakers

All pictures from sneakersnstuff.com

During summer you can dig all your white and light colored sneakers from the back of the closet and hopefully use them without getting awfully dirty. This spring girl’s sneakers have been in nice bright colors and pastels, and the ones I drool after are the Nike Air Max Plus SE in the lovely lilac color. The Air Max Prestos are clean and fresh, and in my  opinion Nike’s answer to Adidas Turbular model. New Balance is not that popular in Finland but you can spot them on loads of fashion influencers feet, for example Danish fashion editors. Aaand as I mentioned in my last sneaker post, we are going to see a lot of “flyknit” sneakers, Adidas has updated the classic Gazelle model to a flyknit model, but also other classic models such as the Superstar and Stan Smith have gotten a face lift. Which are your favorites?

30 under 50€

Well, I spend a lot of time surfing the internet to keep up with clothes that are in stores and soon to come to stores. I compiled you 30 pieces that cost less than 50€. I piled up a few summer essentials, colorful tops, dressed shirts, off shoulder tops, cropped pants and slip dresses. You might be all shocked of all the colors but this summer I’m totally hooked on orange and baby blue. I’m totally loving the batik piece, so Gucci resort 2017. Enjoy and happy shopping!

Sunglasses

I’m getting all prepared for summer and you can never have too many cool sunglasses! Here are some nice looking sunglasses;

&Other Stories, bough the orange ones a few weeks back and I love them. The sunglasses from &Other Stories are great value for money, sturdy, good quality and for a good price.

Le Specs this super hip Australian brand can be seen on bloggers and celebrities such as Rihanna. There are loads of different varieties, classic sunglasses, more avant garde and futuristic models.

Sun Buddies is a Swedish brand, which have 8 models in various colorways. Super cool design and affordable price. These sunglasses are classic but in exciting colors.

Dresses for every occasion

Summer means graduation, weddings, garden parties and what not. Finding an appropriate dress might not always be so easy, as you have to consider the functionality and comfort of the dress. Bodycon dresses are popular, but would you feel comfortable in a squeezing, tight polyester dress during a humid and hot summer day, and is it appropriate? Thought so too, so here are some nice alternatives.

&Other Stories has a nice selection of minimalistic dresses in nice breathing fabrics. What I like about these dresses are that they are multi functional, dress up or dress down. My favorite is the printed dress, wear it with a pair of heels for a party, and dress it down with a leather jacket and loafers.

COS might not deliver summery dresses quite yet, most dresses are in darker color tones. These two though are fun and youthful dresses, a pair of nice heels and you are ready to party!

H&M has a really strong spring collection this year. They have a lot of nice dresses, I picked these three, the yellow lace and baby blue dress are my absolute favorite. The yellow dress is also festival appropriate, wear it with a pair of Stan Smith’s or sandals, add some nice jewelry, a hat and you are good to go.

Zara always have a great selection of dresses, but it is a risk to buy graduation dresses from there, as most likely somebody from your school will have the same dress. The last three dresses are really nice, the tweed one is very Alexa Chungish. The two longer dresses are great for weddings, as they go over the knee they are appropriate for church weddings.

Topshop didn’t quite convince me with their dresses, but these two were nice I thought. The black one is maybe a liiittle bit too revealing for a graduation dress but totally appropriate for a night on the town, just add a nice leather jacket.

New Look offers nice dresses for a good price. The black one is not relevant as it’s not a party dress, but in my eyes the perfect everyday dress and for 20€. Off shoulder is THE trend for this summer, and there’s something about this icy blue dress that I like.

Marimekko, okay not the cheapest selection of dresses but these are soo pretty! Imagine the maxi dress with the Kivet print, flowing in the summer wind and giving enough coverage for late nights. Love these!

What’s better than a pair of new shoes on a Friday?!  I wanted a pair of classic sneakers that are more subtle because my Janoski’s needs to breathe. Love ’em!

Streetstyle inspo – Gilda Ambrosio and Chiara Capitani

One of my biggest style inspirations right  now is Gilda Ambrosio. She combines a fair lot of vintage in combination with high end brands, and I’m intrigued to see what she’s wearing next. Her style varies from minimalistic Scandi style, Parisian chic and Boho chic, with a slight gothic touch. It’s not a secret that the whole Grazia Italy editor and contributor squad has their fashion game on point, and I can’t help stalking their Instagrams like crazy.  I’m drooling over the key pieces of this spring such as the Vetements bomber and jeans, Loewe crocodile pants and Saks Potts furs. Chiara Capitani is also a favorite inspiration of mine, I can’t stop thinking about the snake print college by Hyke x Adidas, which of course is sold out. I like the way Chiara combines preppy with grungy, references of modern street wear and 90’s. Check out Chiaras Instagram on @chiara_grazia_it!

Sneakers on my mind

All pictures from sneakersnstuff.com

My boyfriend is tired of me obsessing endlessly over sneakers. I can’t help it, I really love cool sneakers! During the past years we have seen Nike’s Roshe, Air Max 90 and 95, Air Force and Air Max Thea in endless colors, but I hope that soon people will move away from the models and discover some new. The Adidas NMD launch was pretty hyped and the limited edition of the yellow colorway sold out in minutes.

I really like that for example Adidas has reinvented some classic models such as the Gazelle or Nikes Air Icarus or Cortez, and are now available in new and exciting materials and colorways. Puma emerged from the dark after a face lift last year, and in collaboration with Rihanna the popularity has exploded. I mean, who didn’t drool after a pair or RiRi’s creepers?!

The immediate trend that can be seen on the sneaker scene is the “flyknit” or “knit” fabrics, seen both at Nike and Adidas, but also several smaller brands.
